Beaux Gibbons 2023

A1 poster displayed as part of In Case You Missed at The Modernists in Manchester. A celebration of the disused modernist UMIST campus referencing perfomance and photography made at the Bauhaus, Constructivism and the 1931 Beaux Arts Ball. An exploration of the UMIST buildings designed by W.A.Gibbons through model making, costume design and photography. The buildings were 'occupied' by the artists' bodies, the site animated by their presence to make a perfomative photo shoot which combined formal spatial analysis and prosaic embodied activity.
